About Arrowhead Game Studios

There’s something special about our games. We believe that games should challenge the creativity of the individuals who play them. This holds true for all our games, no matter how casual, action-packed or story driven. We feel that this is one of the key factors to creating a memorable experience. An experience that will be remembered for a long time by those who play our games.

We also believe in making games that will have a long lasting and hardcore crowd. Therefore we take great care to integrate support models that make sense and that allow for continued development. They should become a living product, so that we can support our products for as long as people want to play them.

We pride ourselves on being a reliable studio with great affection for our community. One of our main goals is never to divide our community through DLC in any of our games. We have made sure to give players free expansions and upgrades, with only cosmetic items at additional costs to help support the game as a living product.

We try promote ourselves through open communication on our blogs and forums. We also interact directly with the players, whether it’s live on stream or via email. A lot of our time and effort is spent mingling with the player base and we are happy to share the latest and greatest news from the office with our fans.

In the future we are looking forward to seeing many of the familiar faces whom we have gotten to know over the years join us on new adventures. We can’t yet say what the next adventure will be, but you can be sure it definitely contains some of the Arrowhead fun and humor which is to be expected.

An Arrowhead Game

When we started Arrowhead we had a strong vision of what kind of games, mentality and studio we wanted to create and are still passionate about the idea that games should challenge the creativity of the individuals that play them. Every Arrowhead game has a few core values, no matter what style or genre they are in.

A huge part of what we do when making games is worldbuilding, and we want our games to feel like they exist in a universe that is real and believable, even though it might be a fantastical one.

In an action game, this would mean that damage and health values follow what makes sense within the game’s universe rather than what leads to balanced gameplay.

We believe that the best things in games happen between players, and our games are about creating that connection and opportunities for player stories that can be retold time and time again outside of the game too.

This often means co-op and sometimes connecting players that aren’t actually playing together in various ways.

We want our games to be less of a thing you’re trying to win and more of a fantasy that you immerse yourself into – like when you played pretend as a kid or like playing pen and paper role playing games.

We strive to give players opportunities to explore – be it worlds or gameplay systems – and find their own way of playing. The goals and challenges we set out for players are there primarily to spark their creativity and to make for hilarious mishaps.

This extends to our own world-building, as we often use humour and a playful approach to serious subjects and messaging.
